    Lineage 2 Clan Guide

    Creating a Clan
Any character over level 10 may create a clan. When a character has reached level 10 or higher, he/she can go to the NPC responsible for clan creation. Clan names may be comprised of up to 16 alphabetical and numerical characters and cannot include spaces or special characters.

A clan is made up of a clan leader (commonly known as a lord) and a number of clan members. New clans may accept up to 10 members. As the clan progresses and attains skills, they can have up to 40 members.

    Leaving a Clan
A clan member may leave a clan, but they will suffer penalties as a result.

If a clan leader wants to kick a player from their clan, they can go into the Clan Window, click on the Actions > Clan tab, select the name of the player and click the "DISMISS" button. A member that is dismissed from the clan must wait five calendar days to join another clan, but can create a new clan immediately. When a member is dismissed from a clan, the clan must wait five calendar days to accept new members.
If a player wants to leave a clan, they can go into the Clan Window, click on the Actions > Clan tab and click the "LEAVE" button. When a member leaves a clan, he/she may not join any other clan for five calendar days, but can create a new clan immediately. The clan leader can accept new members immediately.
If the clan leader withdraws from the clan, the clan is automatically dissolved and receives penalties (see below).

    Dissolving a Clan
A clan leader may dissolve the clan without the prior consent of the members. Dissolving a clan is done in the same manner as creating a clan, through the appropriate NPCs.

It takes seven calendar days to dissolve a clan. Clan skills are restricted until the dissolution occurs, but clan chat and clan bulletin boards may still be used. A clan cannot be dissolved when involved in a clan war. Members who leave the clan during those seven days will still be unable to join any other clan for five calendar days, but once the clan is dissolved the members who remained can join other clans immediately.

A clan leader who dissolves his/her clan receives experience penalties comparable to one death and cannot create a new clan for another ten days. In addition, all the skills and fame that the clan possesses will be lost.

The clan leader can delegate the clan leader's unique rights to his/her own clan members. This is done by clicking the rights delegation button after selecting the clan member in the Clan Action section that one wishes to delegate to. The clan leader can delegate the following rights to clan members:

Clan rights: clan joining, bestowal of titles, viewing of warehouse, registration of clan crest
Clan hall rights: gate opening, other rights (function adding/restoration), banning
Castle rights: gate opening, other rights (function adding/restoration, related to manors, mercenary placement), banning

    Clan Levels
Clan levels may be acquired in phases via clan quests. If a clan completes a quest they are eligible for, they acquire a new level of clan skills. Through these skills, the clan gains various clan management abilities and powers, including clan member registration, expulsion, dissolution, transferring of authority, and warehouse usage. The higher the level, the more powerful a clan may become.

The chart below describes skills added to the clan at each level.

    Clan War
Only clans with skill level 3 or higher may declare war on another clan. Only clans with over five members may be challenged.
Clan war cannot be declared on an allied clan. A clan that is currently involved in a clan war cannot declare war upon another clan until the first war has ended. However, the clan may accept war challenges from another clan.

First, declare war on a desired opponent. The other clan leader must be in the game for war to be successfully declared. To declare war, use the Clan tab in the Action menu.
The battle begins when the opposing clan accepts the challenge. If the opponent refuses, no battle occurs.

    During a Clan War
The clan’s emblem appears above each character's head by default.
You do not need to press the Ctrl key to attack an opposing clan member during war.
Guards do not participate in wars between clans.
Players killed in battle receive one-quarter of normal death. If a player is killed by Summons or a Pet, then they suffer full penalty.
An individual may choose to surrender if placed in a dangerous situation in battle, even if the war itself has not ended. An individual that has chosen to surrender receives experience penalties equal to one death and does not have to go back to war. To surrender, use the Clan tab in the Action menu.
A clan may not be dissolved during war.

    Ending a Clan War
The war comes to an end when one of the following requirements is satisfied:
The opposing clan surrenders (at least one or more members of the surrendering clan must be present in the game).
One clan proposes a truce and the other accepts. The battle ends in a draw.
All clan members, excluding the clan leader, have individually surrendered.
Regardless of the outcome, any clan that has declared war, or any clan that has accepted a declaration of war, cannot declare another war for five days. If a clan surrenders, the clan leader receives experience penalties equal to one death.

    Chat commands
    /clanwarstart - declare war to a clan;
    /enemylist - shows the list of clans someone declared war against which has not yet accepted it;
    /attackerlist - shows the list of clans which have declared war against someone but still haven't received confirmation;
    /clanwarlist - shows the list of the clans which are in war with you, and the list of your allies;
/clanwarstop - stop the war with a clan.

    Clan Halls
Only leaders of a level two or higher clan without a clan hall can obtain one. Clan halls are available in Dion (C Grade), Gludio and Gludin (B Grade), and Aden (A Grade). Each hall has been given its own name; for instance, the first house in Gludin Village has been given the name Gludin Crystal Hall.

    Purchasing Clan Halls
Clan leaders can only bid on one clan hall in an auction. When a clan leader places a bid on a clan hall, the bid amount of adena is taken from the clan's warehouse. Bids must be higher than the previous bid. Clan leaders cannot bid more than the amount of adena in the clan's warehouse.

The clan leader who places the highest bid at the end of the auction wins. If a clan is successful in purchasing a clan hall, the clan leader receives a message that they won. Any previous residents that are still in the hall are kicked out.

The bid amounts of the clan leaders who bid unsuccessfully are returned to their clan's warehouses.

    Clan Hall Maintenance
The clan that owns the clan hall must deposit usage fees in the clan warehouse, collected weekly. If the usage fees are not paid, the clan leader receives a message and is given a grace period of one week. If the usage fees are still not paid after that time, the clan hall is repossessed and put up for auction.

HP and MP can be regenerated within the clan hall for a fee.

A warehouse is available in the clan hall, and teleporters are available in the clan hall for members to travel to the village entrance and square. Teleporting to other areas requires a fee.

    Features of clan halls
Clan halls of both types have a set of features which help in the course of gameplay. Depending on a hall type, different functions can be used (activated for a fee in Adena). Clan halls have the following features:
    Selling items
    HP/MP restoration increase
    XP restoration at resurrection

    Clan Hall Decorations
Players can add a variety of decorations and functions to their clan hall. The inside features can be changed in Gludio Castle Village and Aden Castle Village. The following decorations can be added if a fee is paid:

Players can add a variety of decorations and functions to the clan hall.
    Recovery Facilities
    Fireplace: HP recovery ability
    Carpet: MP recovery ability
Chandelier: When a character dies and returns to the clan hall, a fixed % of experience is recovered
    Miscellaneous Equipment
Mirror: Allows teleportation to nearby regions and hunting areas
Interior curtains: Offer a variety of buffs through Clan Hall manager NPC
Magic Machine: For B-grade and higher houses, item production is available by grade
    Decorative Additions
Curtain, Foyer: These are decorations to make the house look more beautiful.

    Selling Clan Halls
Clan leaders may put their clan hall up for auction through the Auctioneer. Auction periods can be set for seven days, three days, or one day. Clan leaders can write a simple description of the clan hall they wish to auction and must pay a deposit to put their clan hall up for auction.

The clan leader can cancel the auction during the set time, but the deposit is not returned and they cannot set up another auction for seven days.

When a clan hall does not have an owner, or has not been maintained sufficiently, it will be set up automatically for a seven-day auction period.

If the clan breaks up before the end of an auction period for their clan hall, the auction will continue, but the proceeds and deposit from selling the clan hall cannot be received.

If no one participates in an auction, the clan hall is returned to the owners, but their deposit is not returned.

If a clan successfully sells a clan hall, the clan leader will receive a message. The highest bid, minus taxes, is placed in the selling clan's warehouse, along with the deposit.

    Clan Information
Information about one's clan - or clans allied with one's clan - can be acquired through the Clan Actions window in the interface. This window displays the clan leader name, clan skill level, current stats, clan members, and their character levels. Clan leaders can also set and remove the clan crest, delegate clan authority, invite clan members, and more through the Clan Actions window.
